The name "Confiscated" pays tribute to a warehouse of Kentucky Owl barrels lost in 1916. As Prohibition loomed, government forces, emboldened by the temperance movement's growing influence, seized over $40 million worth of bourbon from then-Master Blender C.M. Dedman. This event, coupled with the devastating impact of Prohibition, led to Kentucky Owl's decline into obscurity. Nearly a century later, Dedman's great-great-grandson, Master Blender Dixon Dedman, revived the brand, drawing inspiration from these long-lost barrels for his latest release.

Bright young straw colour wth a green hue. Pure and fragrant aromas offering white peach, pear, lemongrass and flinty notes. The palate shows very nice restraint in terms of freshness, mouth watering with crisp young stone fruit flavours, good volume and texture with fine extract and a very long vibrant finish.

Coil Signal Ridge Vineyard Pinot Noir is a fine example of the elegance and complexity that the Mendocino Ridge AVA can impart to this noble grape. This wine likely showcases the characteristic bright acidity and red fruit flavors of Pinot Noir, with layers of cherry, raspberry, and perhaps a hint of cranberry, complemented by nuances of earth, spice, and a delicate floral note, possibly violet or rose. Aged in oak, it might offer subtle hints of vanilla and toast that enrich the wine's profile without overpowering the delicate fruit. The high elevation of the Signal Ridge Vineyard contributes to a pronounced minerality and finesse in the wine, leading to a long, refined finish. 

This no-nonsense wine offers good red- and black-cherry flavors on a nicely firm texture and is well balanced for pairing with a variety of meats and other protein-rich dishes.

There are plenty of sherbet lemon, citrus zest and toasty notes among the aromas. A refreshing wine with some savouriness and a zippy finish.

The vineyard of Quinta do Arnozelo is situated on the southern bank of the Douro river, between the small towns of São João da Pesqueira and Vila Nova de Foz Côa. This is in the prestigious upper reaches of the Douro demarcated wine region, the aptly named Douro Superior. The Burmester Vintage Port 2020 is loaded with character and enormous ageing potential. From a fully declared year, this port is a blend of Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional, this is warm, lightly textured with minerality and touched by toastiness. The tannins are soft, already well integrated with the floral notes and black fruits.

Ripe and joyous dark cherry and berry pie aromas leap from the nose of this bottling, but it's the earthy veil of loam, dust and chaparral spice that provides particular depth. Nose: The Casks of Lindores Bourbon Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky offers a delightful aroma of rich vanilla, caramel, and honey, with hints of toasted oak and a subtle floral undertone.

Taste: On the palate, this whisky reveals a smooth and creamy texture, with flavors of sweet toffee, butterscotch, and ripe orchard fruits. The influence of the bourbon casks is evident, bringing notes of vanilla and toasted coconut, complemented by a gentle spice.

Overall, The Casks of Lindores is a well-rounded and harmonious single malt, showcasing the perfect marriage of bourbon cask maturation and Lindores Abbey's distillery character.

Nose: Intense peat smoke, maritime notes, hints of iodine, and a touch of brine.

Taste: Rich and smoky, with flavors of charred oak, bonfire smoke, roasted barley, and a subtle sweetness of vanilla.

Palate: Full-bodied and oily, with a warming sensation. The peat smoke dominates, accompanied by flavors of dark chocolate, black pepper, and a hint of citrus zest.

The nose showcases a spectrum of umami aromas, from soil to astringent fruit to balsamic, stone and wild herbs. The palate leans into the fruity notes, with pepper providing heat and a continued metallic quality providing structure. Tightly coiled tannins and buoyant acid accentuate haughty citrus overtones.

Since 2002 the vineyards have been managed organically and biodynamically. In 2010 all four vineyards were awarded full Demeter certification and in 2020 they were all also certified by BioGro. Pruning is carried out to leave desired bud numbers thus ensuring moderate controllable yields and to create an even, light penetrable canopy. Irrigation is usually necessary during the later dry summer months. Soil moisture levels are carefully monitored and water is applied only when necessary to maintain appropriate soil moisture levels. All grapes are carefully hand picked, keeping separate any quality differences within blocks due to clones, rootstocks and viticultural trials.
