CHATEAU PAVIE DECESSE

Château Pavie Decesse, a St.Emilion Grand Cru Classé property is now producing wines the equal of its illustrious brother Chateau Pavie. Both properties were previously owned by the Valet family until they were purchased by Gérard Perse, owner of Château Monbousquet, in 1997.

Pavie-Decesse is situated in the heart of the Côtes sub-district of St. Emilion, with the vineyards being planted on chalky, clay soils. There are 9 hectares planted with Merlot (60%), Cabernet Franc (20%) and Cabernet Sauvignon(20%).

Pavie Decesse is vinified traditionally before being matured in 100% new oak barrels for 18 months. The wines are deep in colour and concentrated and intense on the palate, with noticeable tannins and hints of vanilla.
