This wine originates from vineyards with mostly clay soil. The grapes are carefully hand-harvested and then undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Afterward, it matures for one year in Chesnut barrels before spending another year in stainless steel tanks before being bottled. On the nose, the wine offers an intense and alluring aroma, featuring plum, black cherry, dried figs, walnut husks, and unpeeled almonds, complemented by subtle hints of dried flowers. This wine is made exclusively from 100% Gaglioppo grapes, showcasing the unique and distinctive qualities of this variety.

Clos Vougeot is one of the most renowned vineyards in Burgundy, and it holds the Grand Cru classification, indicating the highest quality level for Burgundy wines. Château de la Tour is one of the prestigious producers in the area, focusing on producing exceptional wines from the Pinot Noir grape variety. Chateau de la Tour Clos Vougeot Grand Cru is known for its elegance, complexity, and finesse. The wine typically exhibits flavors of red and black fruits, such as cherries and blackberries, with notes of spices, earth, and sometimes floral undertones. It often has a medium to full body, well-integrated tannins, and a long, lingering finish.

From the Veneto region, international grape varieties thrive, especially Cabernet Franc. The Savian winery is a family owend winery in the Lison Pramaggiore region fo Veneto, in operation since 1925. For over 50 years, the Bisci family has been making Verdicchio in the district of Matelica. Verdicchio, one of Italy's most ageable white grapes shows two expressions: rounder and richer in Jesi, but more austere, higher acidity and mineral in Matelica due higher elevation and mountain terroir. The single vineyard of Vegneto Foglia has 45 year old vines with a south facing exposure. The wine is complex with yellow fruits and chlorophyll notes. The palate is structured and textured, built for ageing.

This wine is from a contiguous parcel that sits astride the Clos Prieur du Haut (classified 1er Cru) and the Clos Prieur du Bas (classified as a village wine); rather than create two tiny cuvées, the domaine prefers to blend the two to make an extra-fine village wine from the lieu-dit “Clos Prieur”. Harmand-Geoffroy owns a bit less than a half-hectare of vineyards in Clos Prieur and the vines therein were planted between 50 and 85 years ago. In our opinion, this is one of the finest village wines available from Gevrey; it is elegant yet powerful with a compelling density and ripe, sweet tannins.

It began with rather normal temperatures and precipitation, promoting budbreak that was in line with the historical average of the region. Spring, and in particular the month of May, was characterized by frequent rainfall and temperatures slightly below average. The summer months were generally hot and dry, without noticeable spikes, providing optimal ripening conditions for the Merlot, Cabernet & Sangiovese grapes that comprise this wine. A windy and cooler September insured healthy & phenolically mature clusters were obtained during harvest. Tasting Notes Intensely red in colour with purple reflections, this wine contains aromas of forest berries, sweet spice and vanilla bean. Round and harmonious on the palate, this wine has sweet tannins and a delicate finish.

The vineyards of Michel Mallard located in Ladoix-Serrigny at the foot of Corton Hill in the Cotes de Beaune encompass all levels of vineyard quality: Villages, Premier Cru Grand Cru. Wines from the Grand Cru of Marechaude are typically full-bodied and robust due to the heavy clay soils found in this marshy area of Corton (Maresche means swamp in old French). The Mallard has a bouquet of blackberry, licorice, cloves and hints of minerality on the elegant, tannic palate. Like the Le Rognet, it can be aged for many years.

The vineyards of Michel Mallard located in Ladoix-Serrigny at the foot of Corton Hill in the Cotes de Beaune encompass all levels of vineyard quality: Villages, Premier Cru Grand Cru. From the name that literally means "vixens" (Renardes), the name is appropriate as this Grand Cru with its iron rich soils that reputedly impart the rich, gamey character of these Pinot Noir. Along with the animal subtleties, expect to find blueberry, red currant, licorice and hints of black pepper on a ricy and racy palate.

This Grangestone Single Malt has been matured in traditional American oak casks until it has achieved the perfect balance of flavours, green leafy notes play in harmony with its sweet delicate oak flavour. The whisky is then transferred into casks that have previously held premium Rum to allow for further development.

Aroma: A rich malty aroma with a biscuity sweetness and fresh fruit notes. A delicate leafy character is balanced with vanilla sweetness.

Taste: Sweet and rounded with a vanilla oakiness. The maly character carries through into the taste with subtle notes of caramelised fruits.

Finish: Mellow and long lasting

Austria has come a long way in winemaking and this blend of their famous Zweigelt (crossing of Blaufrankisch and St. Laurent) with Cabernet Franc offers aromas and flavours of red berries and roses. Light on its feet, it reminds one of summer! Certified organic and vegan.

Local Edmonton brewery Trial and Ale is well known for artisinal wild and sour ales. This is a farmhouse ale/sour blend, so as its name suggests, it is brewed with several strains of brettanomyces to create the bready, yeasty, somewhat funky, earthy and tart flavours.

Neil Ellis is considered to be one of the most influencial pioneers of winemaking in South Africa. The Groenekloof vineyards are located near Darling on the West Coast and consist of a series of hills running parallel to the ocean. These bush vines are low yielding vineyards, delivering a refreshing, well-structured wine with bright, tropical aromatics. The palate is elegant with delicately detailed tropical fruits and subtle herbacious undertones. A lively acidity and a refined minerality add to the complexity of the wine. A well made Sauvignon Blanc.

In the heart of Willamette Valley, Iris Vineyards on 870 acres features over 10 acres of Pinot Gris vines. Dry farmed for concentrated berries, this Pinot Gris has aromas of Asian pear and pineapple with a lively balanced palate of yellow apple and grapefruit. The Gropello group of grapes features mostly Gropello Gentile and definitely the wine of the Lombardia side of Lake Garda and the Riviera del Garda DOC. This elegant wine features a strong, spicy note with strawberry and ripe fruit. On the palate it is sweet and balanced with a hint of savouriness.

Since 1620, the Humbrecht family has been cultivating their wines in the great patchwork quilt terroirs of Alsace in northern France. Today, they own 42ha in several Grand Cru sites, including Rangen de Thann, the most southerly of the Alsace vineyards. The volcanic terroir of Rangen dominates the aromatics of this young wine with all its power: gunflint, crushed rocks, ripe white and green fruits, typical of the variety. Intense, high acidity and ripe tannins of the vintage make this wine extremely ageable.

The region of Patagonia in the southern tip of Argentina has become more well known for cold climate winemaking in recent years. Bodega Noemia Malbec comes from a small 1.5 ha vineyard of pre-phylloxera vines planted in 1932. The wine is well-balanced and elegant with well integrated intense dark fruit notes with hints of dark chocolate , coffee and spice. Full-bodied with a persistent, long finish.

The Vettoretti family owns 32ha in the prestigious Valdobbiadene DOCG zone of Prosecco prodcution, as well as property in the Treviso DOC. All fruit used in their wine is estate grown and hand harvested. This unique blend of Merlot and Incrocio Manzoni (Incrocio means "crossing" and is a a crossing of Raboso and Muscat of Hamburg) is fruity with hints of strawberry, raspberry and hints of pepper and sage. Tangy acidity makes for a great match with strawberry risotto, and cream pastries.

Antica Torino Amaro della Sacra is a bitter liqueur that is made using a blend of herbs, roots, and spices. It is produced in the Piedmont region of Italy, where it has been a popular drink for over a century. The liqueur has a deep amber color and a complex flavor profile that is both bitter and sweet. It is often enjoyed as an after-dinner digestif, and is said to aid in digestion. The recipe for Antica Torino Amaro della Sacra is a closely guarded secret, but it is known to contain ingredients such as gentian root, wormwood, and orange peel. One of the great vineyards of Napa Valley, farmer Nathan Fay planted this in 1961. It was the first vineyard planted to Cabernet Sauvignon in the Stags' Leap District. Stag's Leap cellars purchased the vineyard in 1986 and it continues to be one of the signature wines of the lineup, garnering 90+ scores year after year. The 2019 shows dust, clove and graphite with secondary hints of violet, sage and tree bark. While this can be enjoyed now, it is recommended to cellar and enjoy from 2029-2039. The SLV has generous dark fruit aromas of black currant, plum, candied fig and cocoa dust. The palate is dense, yet polished with tannins that meld with layers of dark fruit, fig and violet. POLI MARCONI 46 GIN is a handcrafted Italian gin that is distilled using traditional methods and features a distinctive blend of juniper berries, muscat grape, mountain pine, cembra pine, mint, cardamom, and coriander. This unique infusion of flavors is inspired by the Asiago plateau in the north of the Veneto region, which is the ancestral home of the Poli family.

With a blend of tropical fruit aromas including pineapple, banana, and ripe mango, complemented by notes of peaches and pears, the nose of the Montes Alpha Chardonnay  is intense and complex. Hints of grapefruit and white asparagus contribute to the coastal climate's influence on the wine. The palate offers a smooth and balanced acidity, leading to a fresh wine with ample volume. The Magro vineyard is small and over 30 years old where this field blend of Garganega, Trebbiano Toscana, Cortese and Incrocio Manzoni come together to make this aromatic, intense, fruit-packed wine full of apple, pear, stone fruits, tropical fruit aromas along with a textural palate of wet stones and honey. Giusti Augusto Recantina is a red wine produced by Giusti Wine winery located in Veneto, Italy. The wine is made using 100% Recantina grapes, which are grown in the vineyards surrounding the winery. Recantina is an indigenous grape variety of Veneto, known for its intense color, tannins, and high acidity. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, followed by bottle aging for an additional 6 months.
