Here at the Canadian Liquor Store, we have one of the best Bordeaux selections in the province, bar none. The 2014 vintage was overall good, (and according to some, the best since the iconic vintage of 2010) and we have some real gems from that vintage that are ready to drink right now or hold for a few more years. The reds were classic and quite distinguished with pure, concentrated fruit, good acidity and smooth tannins. Although approachable, they are not lacking complexity. Perhaps even more promising, are the dry whites. In a vintage where there was plenty of fresh, vibrant acidity, the white wines shine. After the disappointing vintages of 2011, 2012 and 2013, the 2014 shows great promise for a delicious drinking experience!
From various regions and price points, here are our expert picks for the 2014 vintage.
