This elegant rich and creamy whisky has rarity reflected in every drop, and its new limited-edition design, created by fashion designer Angel Chen, is the perfect gift to give to the once who never walks alone and to mark this year. Smell: Sweet, smoky aromas from Port Ellen greet you. It's followed by notes of orange, raisins, figs and cinnamon. Taste: Abundant spice and dried fruits from Speyside and Highland whiskies are perfectly balanced with vanilla. They release layers of sweet fruits, dark chocolate, toffee and roast nuts.Finish: Port Ellen gives a coastal smokiness that gathers momentum through the long finish.

This unique product features cigar leaves fermented and aged in ex-bourbon casks, then used to age the rum for 8 years in this impressive decanter. Named for the Kuna tribe, one of Panama's oldest communities it is complex and luxurious with distinct tobacco aromas and flavours along with crunchy toffee, orange peel and roasted coffee. A rum sure to please any lover of fine rum.

Yellow Spot is unique in that it contains whiskey that has been matured for a full 12-year period in three oak cask types: American bourbon barrels, Spanish sherry butts, and uniquely Spanish Malaga casks. The Malaga cask brings an exotic sweet note to the whiskey, making it a truly delightful taste experience. Only extremely limited quantities of Yellow Spot have been bottled, making it a whiskey to seek out and savour as a true rarity.

Nose: Mown hay and cracked black pepper. Red bell peppers, nutmeg, clove oil, and green tea. Sweet honey and peaches from the Malaga casks.

Palate: Honey sweetness with pot still spices. Flavours of fresh coffee, creamy milk chocolate, and Crème Brûlée. Notes of red apples and toasted oak. Its finish is sophisticated and complex, with a sweetness throughout, followed by a mix of red grape and dry barley upon exit.

Finish: Long, sweet, warming and wonderfully balanced. Fruity, sweet and wood.

The art of making fine bourbon first took place on the site of the Woodford Reserve Distillery, a National Historic Landmark, in 1812. You get that sense of history. The history of bourbon is the history of Kentucky, is the history of the United States. Woodford Reserve Rye uses a pre-prohibition style ratio of 53% rye in its mash bill to pay homage to history’s original rye whiskeys, making spice and tobacco the dominant note among a sea of fruit, floral, and sweet aromatics, which yields a nice sweetness and overall balance. After all - balanced rye makes a more balanced cocktail.

Nose: Spicy with distinct notes of rye, black pepper, cedar and cassia bark sweetened with a dusting of marzipan. Hints of pear, apple and almond dance in its depths.

Palate: Clove, rye, mint, molasses, sorghum and honey mingle with hints of apple and malt.

Finish: Long and sweetly spiced

Rich and sherried 15yo malt from one of the best distilleries in Speyside. Aged for a little bit longer and bottled a little stronger for a more concentrated, richer flavour. As always, Glenfarclas remains one of the best-value malts on the market – a must for lovers of sherried whisky.

Nose: Complex, sherried, deliciously peated, light butterscotch aromas, with a hint of dried fruit.

Flavour: Full-bodied with a super balance of sherried sweetness, malty tones and peaty flavours.

Finish: Long lasting, gloriously sherried, sweet, gently smoky, and distinguished.

Presented in a highly distinctive squat bottle, each expression comes beautifully packaged in a specially crafted wooden box. From the Auchentoshan distillery in Speyside, this single malt is made for savoring and sipping. Tropical fruit notes of mango and papaya are evident along with more complex notes of baking spices (clove, nutmeg), vanilla, toffee, and honey. This Highlands whisky aged in both ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks leaves full aromas of vanilla, chocolate, orange peel and cinnamon spice. The palate offers a smooth taste of nutmeg, candied orange peel, rich coffee, and hints of licourice. This a bold, robust, and formidable whisky that dad is sure to savour and enjoy over many months

Octomore 13.1 is as youthful and dynamic as its super-heavily peated predecessors. Distilled patiently from the 2015 harvest of 100% Scottish Mainland barley, this single malt is malted to a stratospheric 137.3 PPM and matured in the highest quality American oak casks.

If heavy peat is what dad likes, gift him the Octomore, from the Islay distillery of Bruichladdich. Aged for five years in Bourbon barrels, the hidden peat smoke gives way to the floral, malty spirit and sweet American oak with smoked apricot jam, burnt heather and Turkish delight. Japan has come a long way with making whisky with many master distillers taking their training right in Scotland and importing the Scottish heather for peat making. There is much quality here in Japanese whisky and dad would no doubt be surprised and delighted with this one, aged in a Sherry cask to give it nutty, toasty aromas and flavours.
