Malbec has thrived in Stellenbosch, alongside the region's famed Bordeaux varietals. Known for producing expressive, approachable wines that are medium-bodied with fine tannins and a generous mid-palate, the Rustenberg Stellenbosch Malbec is a new addition to our Regional Range. Enjoy it on its own or with roasted meats, Italian dishes, or mushroom-based fare. As with all Rustenberg reds, decanting before serving is recommended!
Rustenberg is a well-known producer of high-quality Chardonnay, and the Stellenbosch embodies that house style. This is a wine that is traditionally made, and barrel fermented. As a result, the wine is a combination of complex factors that stem from the wild yeasts present in the vineyard. Notes of apricot, coconut and orange peel followed by marzipan, sponge cake, rounded off with carefully judged oak and fresh acidity.
The “Peter Barlow” derives its name from the man who bought the property in 1941 and lovingly restored it to become a South African icon in the wine industry. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the oldest vineyard on the estate, the Peter Barlow is a rich, robust varietal example of the of the exceptional quality and age-ability of Cabernet. A highly collectable wine that will age gracefully with proper cellaring. The wine shows rich aromas of red and black fruits, cedar, and clove, with lively acidity and velvety tannins. Outstanding balance of oak integration and fruit weight, with a long finish.
Named after five towering stone pine trees overlooking the Five Soldiers vineyards, this Chardonnay represents the pinnacle of Rustenberg's winemaking. The Five Soldiers Chardonnay is celebrated for its measured power and complexity, crafted to pair beautifully with food and improve with a few years of careful cellaring. Rather than sourcing the grapes from all across the Beaujolais region, each individual Cru has their own terroir and soil structure; all made with 100% Gamay with the resulting wines unique and set-apart from each other. At the foot of the Côte du Py are the “Grand Cras” plots, a magnificent terroir composed of compacted sediments from the Côte du Py (a mixture of schist, metamorphic rock, and clay) and decomposing granite. This unique blend with the 75-year old vines produces wines with great character and complexity. The Grand Cras is very complex and powerful. As it opens up, it presents notes of red fruit. The tannins are mature, leading into a velvety and persistent finish reminiscent of a Burgundian Pinot Noir.
If you're looking for Beaujolais Cru, look no further. Of the 10 Cru, CLS has wines from seven. Rather than sourcing the grapes from all across the Beaujolais region, each individual Cru has their own terroir and soil structure; all made with 100% Gamay with the resulting wines unique and set-apart from each other. The plot En Rémont is covered with 80-year old vines. It is a secluded vineyard at the end of the road, preserved and protected by surrounding woods and fields. Guided by Pascal’s careful touch, the grapes produce a very round and generous wine with intriguing notes of berries and spice. Beautiful silky tannins lead into a long, fresh finish.

This Chiroubles is an example of the new, organic/bio-dynamic philosophy that Arthur and Pierre, 5th generation family winemakers, introduced when they took over the estate in 2011. The grapes are harvested by hand to ensure that only healthy clusters are used. Natural yeasts are used for a spontaneous fermentation, following a partial carbonic maceration. A refreshing expression of Gamay with full berry flavours, a clean acidity, and soft tannins.

Ths Saint-Amour Esprit de Séduction (the most northern Cru) displays an intriguing deep-ruby colour. The palate is round and balanced with seductive and aromatic black berries. A beautiful bouquet of fruit with complimentary spices.

Rather than sourcing the grapes from all across the Beaujolais region, each individual Cru has their own terroir and soil structure; all made with 100% Gamay with the resulting wines unique and set-apart from each other. The Fournaise vineyard of the Cote de Brouilly is located on the steepest hill of the Cru, where all the work has to be done manually, normally in very hot temperatures. The hill has an elevation of 480 m and is totally covered by 60-year old vines. The roots have to work hard to break through the blue volcanic rock. The resulting wine is powerful and it needs time to reveal its depth and minerality. The palate is full with an amazing concentration and an outstanding, complex finish.

Moulin-a-Vent is known as one of the more 'robust' Cru. From the Les Thorins sector of Moulin-à-Vent, this wine is dense with some solid tannins. Rich, juicy and generously structured with jammy red fruits, Lucien’s Moulin-À-Vent has a red crimson robe.The complexity is deep, with spicy aromas, and a lovely bouquet of blueberries and violets. It is rich in body and character with a beautiful long silky finish backed by mature tannins.

Canadian Robert Tome learned his craft of hospitality in Italy, studying with the Italian Sommelier Association. He opened his own import agency, which quickly became one of the largest agencies in Canada representing some iconic Italian wineries. In 2017, Robert decided to challenge himself to do more and give more with a new endeavor. He sold his shares and branched out on his own to launch Tomé Group of Brands, his own wine brand making wines from Washington State and Italy. This vegan-friendly Pinot Grigio is clean and crisp, layered with notes of apple, pear, almond, and white nectarine with a twinkle of acidity. This is a great match with seafood, pasta with cream sauce, oyster, asparagus and summer salads.

This IGT Toscana Bianco white wine from Tuscany, Italy, blends Malvasia Bianca, Trebbiano, and Chardonnay from the I Colli Estate, located in Monteriggioni and Vagliagli, part of the Bindi Sergardi family’s historic estate, founded in the late 1400s. With a white paper color and golden reflections, it offers an intense bouquet of peach, melon, and pear. On the palate, it’s fresh, savory, and well-balanced with good acidity, fermented and aged in stainless steel to maintain its vibrant character.

The Vicini family, established near Pescara around 1500, has been engaged in agriculture since their wool merchant days, with their wine cantina built in 1853. Recently, Chiara Ciavolich inherited the vineyards from her aunt Giuliana Vicini and launched the Giuliana Vicini label to honor her grandmother and showcase the terroir. This crisp Pecorino wine, sourced from vineyards near Miglianico at 250 meters elevation, offers refreshing citrus and white flower notes. Once thought extinct, Pecorino is now prized in Italy’s eastern coastal regions. Vinified in stainless steel, it serves as a vibrant alternative to Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio!
